About

James is an accomplished and adaptable Senior Executive with a strong Commissioning, Policy, Quality Management and Governance skill set, specialising in Substance Misuse. 

For a significant part of his career, James held the development and quality portfolios at Wales's largest voluntary sector substance misuse treatment provider, and also held executive management responsibilities for services across Wales. During James's tenure as development lead, the organisation more than tripled in size. 

In 2019, James moved to a quality management and regulatory compliance role in the NHS, successfully implementing a quality management system to ISO 13485:2016.  James moved into an NHS programme management role in 2022, supporting the expansion of the psychological professions within NHS services.

James continues to work in statutory and voluntary sector healthcare settings. He thrives on finding solutions to operational problems, implementing processes that improve efficiency, and working creatively to develop high quality recovery focussed services. 

James lives in Welshpool, mid-Wales.
